I was born in Ventura, CA, although at the time I lived nearby in Port Hueneme. In 1993 we bought a house in Ventura, where I attended Saticoy Elementary, Balboa Middle School, Foothill Technology High School, and Ventura College. I'm currently a student at California State University Channel Islands.
I have a sister named Rory who lives in Oklahoma City [where, coincidentally, the majority of my dad's side of the family lives.] She's an accountant, and enjoys sandwiches, not being cold, those nasty cookies with frosting and sprinkles, and crocheting. I also have a brother named William who just graduated from the school I now attend, and lives in the room next door to me. He's 24 and likes Ventrilo, biology, and drum & bass. I've grown up in a largely unrestrictive home. I've pretty much always been able to be who I am and do whatever I want to do my whole life. So I basically have the best family ever. My white and orange canary named Canary Burns who tweeped uncontrollably whenever someone wore a hat just recently died, so I'm currently petless. :'( I would like a kitten, though. I'd give him a really long, regal name.
During my days at FTHS, I spent the majority of my time whining about the weather and the idiots who sit on the stairs so you can't use them. It's set up with a block schedule, so I had three classes a day and got out pretty early all four years. I took some rad classes including the American Experience with the MAN, Richard James Geib. FTHS doesn't have any teams or sports so they pretty much try to hype the students up by giving them free shirts when they make "Renaissance," which I was on for all four years straight. I don't think I've ever warn any of the shirts again. It's a "technology" school so it's supposedly more computer-related, but I mostly went there for the geek factor. Plus, it's still relatively new and my graduating class only had somewhere around 216 seniors. Other than the increasingly draconian administrative staff, it was the closest thing to my ideal high school that I could get around here.
After high school, I went to Ventura College, which is conveniently located across the street from my highschool. After two years there and subsequently two years of excellence with the amazing entity that IS philosophy professor Kevin Bortolin, I transfered to my local CSU California State University Channel Islands where I'm "studying" graphic design. I really only came to that decision because I didn't want to get stuck at VC for all eternity. At this point, I don't have much of an idea regarding what I'm going to do with my life after graduation, but I've always wanted to live in a loft in some big city with buildings and things to do at night that don't include donuts or douchebag bars. Realistically, I'd probably be in San Francisco or LA since they're close to home, but not too close. Ideally I'd move to LA and attempt to worm my way into the film business (behind the scenes kthx) while I make a living taking sketchy photographs ala Veronica Mars or photoshopping the shit out of cracked out actors. I'm also interested in marketing and magazine editing.
I've been html-ing it up since elementary school. I made my first website on Gurlpages with the help of my sister in 1999. It was an LFO fansite. I loooooved me some LFO. And I STILL DO, suckaz. So after that I graduated to Angelfire in 2001, which was the home of my Weezer and Rooney tributes. I had a site on geocities for a while that had bios for all of my friends, games, etc, but I got tired of staring at maroon so I put up a hiatus page. Around then I bought the domain fpbdb.com [based on a saying fiz pop ba doo bop I made up for some reason]. It was mostly just my friend Chrissy and my inside jokes, etc. I didn't really use it so It ran out. "Ultra Blue" was born sometime in 2002 and lasted for about a year after that. At that point I had a website known as Toxic Addiction, which I got from combining the names of the band Toxic Narcotic with my favorite song by The Unseen, "Addiction." I decided it was lame, and due to my random obsession with crime lore and my love for the beverage, I decided to rename the site. Then around late 2003 my father informed me that I could host anything I want online on the server in my garage. So I did. I purchased CremeSoda.Net on June 12, 2004 with GoDaddy. And here we are. :D
My town is beach-side [our mall is called the Pacific View Mall], and located right between the perhaps more well-known cities of Oxnard, Camarillo, and Santa Barbara. It's about an hour's drive to LA depending on what idiots are on the freeway that day. Besides driving around aimlessly, shopping, and going to Barnes and Noble / getting free Starbucks, there's not much to do around here for awesome people like myself, but it's a beautiful town. I used to go to shows a lot, but I'm not as into it as I used to be, and most of the bands I used to see have broken up, so my appearances are rare nowadays. I spend most of my time chillaxin with my bitches and sitting in various "coffee houses" bored out of my mind. On rare occasions I actually convince someone to go with me to the arcade at the Harbor and try on hats at the Harbor Hatter. I also frequent Ralph's Comic Corner. Yay for geeks!
Um. That's about it.
